This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which reaches its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Respondent. The Tribunal had certified that there was a case to answer.

The matter was heard on 12 May 2026.

The Tribunal made an order that, as from 12 May 2026, except in accordance with Law Society permission:-

1. no solicitor shall employ or remunerate Darren Shaw in connection with their practice as a solicitor;
2. no employee of a solicitor shall employ or remunerate Darren Shaw in connection with the solicitor's practice;
3. no recognised body shall employ or remunerate Darren Shaw;
4. no manager or employee of a recognised body shall employ or remunerate Darren Shaw in connection with the business of that body;
5. no recognised body or manager or employee of such a body shall permit Darren Shaw to be a manager of the body;
6. no recognised body or manager or employee of such a body shall permit Darren Shaw to have an interest in the body.
