Warning: Emails misusing the name of Ross David Greenfield

Emails and documents have been sent misusing the name of Ross David Greenfield in relation to cryptocurrency and asset recovery.
What is the scam?
The SRA has seen a report submitted to Birketts Solicitors LLP via their website by a member of the public. The member of the public reports being approached by an individual purporting to be 'Ross David Greenfield' of 'Cyber Law Solution Ltd' (see genuine details of the solicitor below). The content of the report is regarding the supposed recovery of cryptocurrency security and assets.
The member of the public also received a document titled 'agreement for the provision of legal services' which was sent from 'David Ross' from the email address 'davidross0914@gmail.com'. The document is signed by a 'Thomas Butt' 'CEO Cyber Law Solution Ltd' and quotes the telephone number '+44 (7418) 359-388', email address 'support@cyber-law.uk', address 'Tiviot Dl, Stockport SK1 1TB, United Kingdom' and website 'https://cyber-ltd.com'.
Any business or transactions through any of the above postal address, email address, telephone number and website are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate a genuine firm of solicitors called 'Cyber Law Solutions Ltd'. The SRA does not authorise or regulate an individual by the name of David Ross or a Thomas Butt.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Ross David Greenfield who is a solicitor for Birketts LLP.
Birketts LLP have confirmed that neither they nor Ross David Greenfield have any connection to the email or document referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
