Warning: Website called 'NNElaw.co.uk' presenting itself in a misleading law firm style

24 March 2026

A website has been identified at 'www.nnelaw.co.uk' that appears to present itself as a legal service provider and may give the impression that it is regulated by the SRA, despite the SRA not regulating any organisation of this name.

What is the scam?

A website is operating at 'www.nnelaw.co.uk' using a law firm style domain, marketing eviction services, describing themselves as "reliable eviction solicitors" and giving an overall appearance of being a regulated legal service provider. NNElaw.co.uk is not authorised or regulated by the SRA. The domain name was previously used by NNE Law Limited, which closed as an SRA regulated entity on 27 September 2023 and was dissolved at Companies House on 25 February 2025.

Any business or transaction conducted through 'www.nnelaw.co.uk' is not being undertaken by an SRA regulated entity.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The genuine firm closed as a regulated entity on 27 September 2023. The SRA does not currently authorise or regulate any organisation called 'NNElaw', 'NNE Law', or any entity trading via the website www.nnelaw.co.uk

Connection to previous SRA scam alert

On 29 January 2026, the SRA issued a scam alert regarding 'Housing Disrepair UK' (housingdisrepair.uk), which:

  • incorrectly claimed to be regulated,
  • used misleading materials, and
  • was not an SRA authorised entity.

The similarity between NNElaw.co.uk and the previously alerted 'Housing Disrepair UK' site is notable and the NNElaw.co.uk domain appears to follow the same website structure and marketing approach.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.

When a website, firm, or individual presents itself in a legal or solicitor style format, due diligence is essential.

If you receive correspondence, marketing, or offers of services from NNElaw.co.uk, or from individuals claiming to act on behalf of this entity, you should:

  1. Check the authenticity of any communication by independently verifying regulatory status using the SRA Register.
  2. Do not rely on contact details provided in suspicious communications, including phone numbers, email addresses, or website forms.
  3. Do not make payments or share personal information unless you have confirmed that the provider is authorised.
  4. You may need to verify details through public records (e.g., Companies House, telephone directories) if appropriate.
  5. Contact the SRA if you have any concerns about communications that appear misleading, or if you believe a firm or individual is pretending to be regulated.
