His duties must not extend beyond those outlined without the prior written approval of the SRA.
- Mr Ruparelia is approved to work in a non-managerial role. He must not supervise any member of staff, hold any compliance role, or assume any managerial or supervisory responsibility within the firm.
- Mr Ruparelia's employment is limited to the role described in Imperia Law Limited's application dated 27 February 2026 and its supporting documentation, which is consistent in scope and nature with that previously approved by the SRA.'
- Mr Ruparelia's work must be carried out under the direct supervision of Nikki Ruparelia (SRA number 660873), and in her absence by Ayesha Qureshi (SRA number 523924), a qualified barrister. Supervision must be active and ongoing, and all work undertaken must be capable of review at any time. - All work produced by Mr Ruparelia, including correspondence and documentation, must be reviewed and approved by a supervisor prior to being finalised or sent externally. His activities must be limited to work that can be properly delegated under supervision, and he must not act independently in any matter, conduct matters independently, or act as the responsible fee earner on any file.
- Mr Ruparelia must not undertake any work that could reasonably be construed as involving unsupervised legal advice, independent conduct of matters, or reserved legal activities without oversight. Where a matter requires a higher level of authorisation or external legal input, it must be escalated to a suitably authorised individual.
- The SRA is immediately informed of any proposed variation in Mr Ruparelia duties or his supervision arrangements. Any variation must not take place until permission is granted by the SRA.
- This approval will lapse in the event of Mr Ruparelia leaving Imperia Law Limited. Any return to employment with Imperia Law Limited in this capacity will require a fresh application to the SRA.
- This approval and the conditions attached to it are subject to review at the absolute discretion of the SRA.
Reasons/basis
Minesh Ruparelia was made subject to an order under section 41 of the Solicitors Act 1974 on 16 January 2001. In accordance with section 41 of the Solicitors Act 1974, any solicitor wishing to employ or remunerate him in connection with their practise as a solicitor must obtain our approval. The SRA is satisfied that the above employment will not put public confidence in the administration of justice and the provision of legal services or the interests of clients at risk.
