Telephone calls have been made misusing the name of Complex Law Ltd in relation to starting a car finance claim.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that multiple telephone calls have been made to clients purporting to be from a genuine firm of solicitors (see details below).

The telephone number used to make these calls was '07576576626'.

Any business or transaction through the telephone number above is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Complex Law Ltd (SRA number 515276). Its genuine telephone number is 01282 855400.

The genuine firm Complex Law Ltd has confirmed that it does not have any connection to the telephone calls referred to in the above alert.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary.
