Website misusing the name and details of Spring and Co Solicitors LTD and four genuine solicitors.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed a website has been set up misusing the name and details of a genuine firm and the names of genuine solicitors (see below).

The website https://spring-lawyers.com/contact misused the genuine firms name, address and Companies House number. The website has since been taken down.

The contact emails listed on the website were info@spring-lawyers.com and support@spring-lawyer.com. The contact telephone numbers listed on the website were +44 (7448) 102-667 and 31 (685) 629-810 (see below for genuine details).

The website also falsely claimed the firm had an office at the address Strawinskylaan 1, Tower B, 1077 XX Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The following names were listed as lawyers working at the firm: Petronilla Obianuju, Robert Pederser, Edward Lawson, Emily Simmons, Markus Wirth, Sofia Laurent, Amelia Richter and Daniel Fischer. (see genuine details below)

The SRA does not authorise or regulate any solicitors with the names: Petronilla Obianuju, Robert Pederser, Markus Wirth, Sofia Laurent, Amelia Richter and Daniel Fischer.

Any business or transactions through the website address 'https://spring-lawyers.com/contact', telephone number, email address or address listed above are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm called Spring and Co Solicitors LTD.

The genuine firms email domain is @spring-solicitors.com and their genuine telephone number is 01582 249 225. The firms genuine head office address is Suite 7 First Floor, The Spires, Adelaide Street, Luton, LU1 5BB.

Spring and Co Solicitors LTD has confirmed they do not have any connection to the website or contact details mentioned above in the alert.

Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
