Maximum grant

Unless the SRA is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances in the public interest that justify a higher sum, the maximum grant that may be made is £2 million. For the purposes of this rule, a single claim is an application, or applications, from an applicant for the loss incurred by them arising from a single event or set of connected underlying circumstances.

Apportionment of periodical fees on succession

An authorised body which: has taken over the whole or a part of one or more authorised bodies; or has split or ceded part of its practice to another authorised body and wishes the SRA to take this into account in determining its periodical fee, must within 28 days of the change taking place deliver to the SRA a notice in the prescribed form.
