WTB solicitors LLP (SRA number: 571775) have been granted permission under section 43 of the Solicitors Act to employ Salim Kuraishe as a Senior Immigration Caseworker subject to following conditions:
- Mr Kuraishe's work and supervision of others is at all times supervised by Shabana Ahmad (SRA number 276537) and in her absence by Benedict Taylor (SRA number 163091) and/or Jonathan Starr (SRA number 502868).
- Mr Kuraishe's employment, duties and supervision at WTB Solicitors LLP are limited to that as outlined by the firm in its initial application with submitted on 28 August 2024.
- Any proposed variation to the job description, duties or arrangements as to Mr Kuraishe's employment and supervision are notified to the SRA in advance of the changes and the variation must not take place until the SRA grants permission.
- Mr Kuraishe does not have access to any office or client money, is not a signatory to any office or client money
- This approval will lapse if Mr Kuraishe's employment with the firm is terminated or if Mr Kuraishe leaves the firm.
- This approval and the conditions attached to it are subject to review at the absolute discretion of the SRA.

Reasons/basis
Salim Kuraishe was made subject to an order under section 43 of the Solicitors Act 1974 on 27 June 2005. In accordance with section 43 of the Solicitors Act 1974, any solicitor wishing to employ or remunerate him in connection with their practise as a solicitor must obtain our approval.
The SRA is satisfied that the above employment will not put public confidence in the administration of justice and the provision of legal services or the interests of clients at risk.
