What is the scam?
A website is operating at 'www.lawsuit.hodnettlegal.uk' which misuses the name of a genuine firm of solicitors (see below).
The address provided on the website is '136 Highlander Drive, Donnington, Telford, TF2 8JZ', the email address provided use the domain '@hodnettlegal.co.uk', and the telephone number is '+44 870 968 4504'.
Any business through the website at 'www.lawsuit.hodnettlegal.uk', the address of '136 Highlander Drive, Donnington, Telford, TF2 8JZ', the email domain '@hodnettlegal.co.uk', and the telephone number is '+44 870 968 4504' is not undertaken by a firm authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Hodnett Legal Services Ltd (SRA ID 816423). The telephone number is 07843 088509 and the email domain ends with @hodnettlegalservices.co.uk.
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Claire Louise Hodnett (SRA ID 395640), who is currently the owner and director of Hodnett Legal Services Ltd.
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitors called George Thomas Havaris who does not have any connection the above website.
Dave Anthony and Barbara Veronica Walton are also solicitors authorised and regulated by the SRA and are not thought to have any to the above website.
The genuine firm of Hodnett Legal Services Ltd has confirmed that neither it, nor Claire Hodnett have any connection to the website referred to in the above alert.
